Form a gardening team in your own neighborhood!

MyGardenPartners is designed to make it easy for you to form a food-growing team in your own town or neighborhood. Although the site was not professionally done, and although wiki's tend to be clumsy in some regards, we hope you find it useful!

How to use this site:

1) Understand the three main strategies for finding partners:

2)  Know the type of garden in which you are most interested

3)  Find your town in the Navigation panel to the right by clicking on the plus sign in front of   on the Navigation Panel on the right side of this page, and follow the instructions on the cascading titles which appear. If your town is not listed, we will be happy to make its pages up for you! Contact us.

See an example of the page for townFor an example of what a town's page looks like, see the listing for Fairfield, Iowa.

4) Once you find your town,  look at the lists of potential partners in your area, and give them a call, or enter your own information and wait for others to call you! You can Add your town all by yourself if it is not on the list.

OTHER DETAILS:

TECHNICAL DETAILS REGARDING THIS WEBSITE

Wikis tend to have great flexibility but tend to have limited formatting options, among some operational quircks. For instance, sometimes the Navigation panel to your right gets confused when you are searching through it. If this happens, just come back to the Home page, and the panel will re-set itself. What is a wiki?

To put it another way:

Talk to your friends and neighbors, or even do a little leafletting campaign in your neighborhood (materials are available on this website) and ask them to form a gardening partnership...

...and use this website to look for gardening partners in your town or neighborhood. Also enter your own name on those pages. (See the left-hand panel for details).

We also provide hints for developing successful gardening partnerships,

and give you some tips on actually starting your garden,

and hope that your garden will be productive on all levels!

We also invite you to add your own  interesting gardening links and whole new pages of information, to this publicly-editable wiki!
